ABOUT US: In 2023, The Riley Motor Club of Victoria celebrated its 65th Year. To honour this occasion, a display day and luncheon was held. A club member kindly recorded this YouTube video as a record of the day.
- The Riley Motor Club of Vic. was founded in 1958, to encourage Riley car owners to use, maintain and preserve their cars.
- We are proud that some members have maintained an association with the club virtually since its inception in 1958. This “marque loyalty” has resulted in a huge pool of knowledge on restoration and maintenance, which is actively shared.
- We currently have 210 members, who own about 300 cars of different ages, between them.
- There is a Club meeting each month (except December) where activities include Guest Speakers, Technical lectures, Films, and Novelty evenings.
- Club administration is handled by a 12-person committee at a separate monthly meeting.
- No administrative business is conducted at club meetings, as the focus is on getting together, being entertained and talking about our common interest. Zoom access is available at Club and Committee Meetings to allow country and members unable to physically attend, to participate.
- We produce a high-quality monthly magazine “The Blue Diamond” to keep members informed of the club’s activities, also included are technical articles, restoration tips and members’ articles on their cars and events.
- The Club runs one main monthly event (See the latest edition of our magazine, “The Blue Diamond” for details.) Activities include: day tours to places of interest usually with picnic or catered lunch, tour of members garages, country weekends away, display days.
- National Rallies are held each year, hosted by each State on a revolving roster.
- The Club has close associations with the Riley Clubs in all States of Australia and Overseas.
